Dollar Hill Race - 5th July 2008
SAL championship hill race + U23 championship.
The race started off in fine weather, but it soon started to rain, fortunately the tops remained clear of cloud making navigation a lot easier.Jothro Lennox of Shettleston was first back in a time of 1:13:59 after leading the race from the start, but he was closely followed by Alistair Anthony of Ochil finishing only 17 seconds later. Third was Murray Strain (HBT) in 1:15:54. Fourth and first vet was Colin Donnelly of Locharber in 1:17:34.
Dan Halliday of Hinkley RC was the first under 23 in 1:22:22, first male super vet was Martin Laing (Fife AC) 1:28:42 and first over 60 was Douglas Milligan also of Solway 1:35:14.
The first Lady home was Jill Mykura on Carnethy in 1:30:18 followed 20 seconds later by Dawn Scott of Locharber, The first Vet home was Louise Burt of Fife AC in 1:45:05 and the first under 23 was Sarah MacKenzie of Locharber in 1:53:16 and first Supervet was Alison Wext of Carnegie in 1:58:07.
