Another hot and sunny day for the Dollar Hill Race, just like last year. Fortunately for the runners there was a good breeze on the top. Being a British Championship event we always suspected that the course record was under threat, but the first 14 finishers were inside the existing record, assisted by near ideal conditions under foot. Also the first two women home were inside the women�s record.

Hope everyone enjoyed the race, the prize giving was a bit latter than we would have liked as we were aware some people had a long way to travel home. Our manual results system that has served us well for years was stretched to almost breaking point with the 187 race entries, we�ve never tried it with more than 100 before.

The mountain of water kindly donated to us by Highland Spring disappeared, I did wonder at the start of the day what we would do with what was left but it had just about all done.

Thanks to Dollar Academy for the loan of the facilities, and also many thanks to the marshals and helpers for making things run smoothly.
